WOMEN OF THE REFORM

Original Documentary for the Reform Club

Commissioned to create an original documentary commemorating 40 years of women’s presence within this historic institution, Flow Films is proud to share ‘Women of the Reform’.

As the first London gentlemen’s members club to welcome women in 1981, the Reform Club holds a significant place in British social history. Through this documentary, we celebrate the journey of women within the club, from one of the very first members to join to the most recent generation. Filming a series of interviews across several weeks, we explored the stories, contributions, stories, challenges and successes of women at the club over the past four decades.

Pall Mall Style

Edited together with a combination of steadicam and the first ever drone shots filmed at the location, which has featured in films such as Men in Black, The Avengers, James Bond, Paddington, we scored and paced the film to capture the exclusive prestige of the institution whilst also maintaining the warmth of the personal stories.

Creating connections

What sets Flow Films apart is the ability to blend cinematic storytelling with an intimate exploration of personal stories. The authenticity and richness of the content reveal the human faces behind a prestigious institution, creating a connection with the viewer and allowing a rare intimate glimpse into the workings of London’s exclusive Gentlemen’s Clubs which have been in the news recently because of the Garrick Club still not being open to women members.
